CRM 2Q25:Key Focus on Agentforce’s First Scalable Flagship

FUNDA·2025年9月5日

Lack of Agentforce ARR and pilot-to-production challenges cap upside; Dreamforce V4 is next test.

Salesforce Q2 Review

Consistent with our earlier preview, Q2 and full-year results were relatively muted, with no signs of a major business inflection. Growth in Data Cloud + Agentforce was largely in line with prior expectations. The company did not disclose specific ARR figures for Agentforce this quarter, suggesting limited progress. The reported $1.2B ARR for Data Cloud + Agentforce appears primarily driven by Data Cloud, consistent with our prior forecast.

Post-earnings, the stock traded lower, partially due to management’s commentary on deployment challenges with Agentforce. While Salesforce has been iterating quickly to address customer pain points—a positive sign—the commentary also underscored that product maturity still has room to improve. A potential inflection point would be a flagship customer rapidly deploying Agentforce’s standard solution and achieving meaningful ROI. That would serve as a leading indicator of broader scalability.

We will closely monitor these developments. The next key milestone is the October 14 Dreamforce event, where management indicated Agentforce V4 will be showcased (with substantive functional upgrades) alongside a new ITSM product directly competing with ServiceNow, both expected to GA at the conference.

Q2 Performance Details

  • Subscription Revenue: $9.7B, modestly above consensus of $9.6B.

  • cRPO (cc): +10% YoY, in line with bogey expectations.

  • Q3 Guidance: +9% YoY, essentially inline.

  • Full-Year Outlook: Management raised the lower end of revenue guidance by $100M (roughly half driven by FX), though implied H2 growth decelerates on a YoY basis.
