In our January interview, data center expert A indicated smooth progress

  • For Indiana’s Project Rainier, by Q4 2025, power load estimated at 1.0-1.1 GW with chip count reaching the 1 million target

However, in our early February follow-up, the expert noted

  • 2-3 month delays are now common for data center projects, with most experiencing some delay

  • A 300-500MW delay is reasonable, though other regions may compensate with additional capacity

Data center expert B confirmed Indiana project won’t achieve 1GW delivery capability by end-2025
