We recently conducted research on Figma and believe the company is well-positioned to potentially cover the entire software development lifecycle, forming an integrated product suite akin to an operating system. This suite could connect the full workflow from idea → design → development. December 2015: Beta launch with invite-only access, supporting basic vector design functionality primarily for UI design use cases
September 2016: Official launch with real-time collaboration features, establishing the foundation for cloud-based design tools
