We previously noted in our preview that Okta’s setup this quarter looked more like a case of marginal improvement rather than a major inflection. Comparing actual results against bogey, the outcome was largely inline.

However, the stock reacted positively in after-hours trading. On the one hand, investors’ concern that revenue growth might quickly decelerate below 10% was somewhat alleviated as operating metrics stabilized with slight improvement. On the other hand, management’s tone shifted from the conservatism of last quarter to a more constructive stance, sending encouraging signals. From a product perspective, the company announced the acquisition of Axiom, strengthening its PAM capabilities within the identity platform. On the AI front, management provided more detail around AI Agent Identity, bolstering confidence in the value and competitiveness of this product set.
